In a Room Service system, each room or zone is managed by a room manager, in charge of controlling heaters, lightings and other electrical appliances automatically,

based on your presence, for a better comfort, and to save energy.
as necessary, for a more intelligent usage of appliances in the house.
at your command, in a few touches, you control the whole house.

The room-service system transforms your house into a living-house, ready to serve you.

Modes

Operating modes

One mode for each occasion. The room-manager can activate automatically one of the modes below, according to your presence.

In-room mode, when your presence is detected in the room.
At-home mode, your presence is detected in other rooms.
Sleep mode, while you're sleeping in this room.
Night mode, all night long, when the room is left unoccupied.
Away mode, while you're away.
Vacation mode, during your long vacations.

Configure each device or application according to the active mode.

Applications

Many applications can run simultaneously on a room-manager, and you can associate each device to one or more applications:

Morning call

More than a simple alarm clock, the morning-call application helps you start the day with Sunrise simulator, bathroom preheating, and others.

AutoHeating

Smart thermostat, according to your presence: 20°C when you're there, and 17°C when you're away, and why not 10°C during your long vacations.

AutoLighting

Automatic lighting, according to your presence, as necessary.

Day & Night

Twilight detection to turn on outdoor lighting based on daylight.

Network

PoliNet Network

Powerline (carrier current) network using the existing electrical installation.
The whole house becomes accessible.
No need for control wires, no new wiring, no need for renovation works.

Modular

Construct your own system

Install one room-manager in each zone to manage, for example, in the living room or in the bedrooms.
Install one control module for each device to manage. For example, a dimmer for the lamps, or a power-switch for the electric heaters.
The room managers communicate among themselves and with the control-modules using a network called PoliNet.

About a home-automation system, before adopting one.

What will it do for me? Is it really automatic? Is it really intelligent?
Is it easy to use? Does it have a user-friendly interface?
Is it flexible, and scalable? And if I want to add another room, or just another lamp?
What is the level of integration? Is it just a bunch of independent modules, or is it an integrated, well organized system?
Is the system robust? Is there one central element that can breakdown? If one unit broke down, will the whole house becomes paralyzed?
Is it easy to install? Do I have to do big renovation works to install it?Can I just call a local "electrician" for the maintenance?
In case of moving, or sale of the house, can I un-install the system easily? Is the existing electrical installation still operational?

Morning call
More than a simple alarm clock, the morning-call application helps you start the day with:

Sunrise simulator, using your bedside lamp to simulate the sunrise.
Preheating, to warm up the towel before the wake-up time.
Morning time, to maintain the bedroom bright all morning long.
Day of the week setting, so you can disable the alarm on weekends.

AutoHeating

Smart thermostat, according to your presence: 20°C when you're there, and 17°C when you're away, and why not 10°C during your long vacations. The thermostat setting changes automatically, without waiting for your command.
Consumption history, per hour and per day, to help you manage your heating cost.
Quick thermostat setting, from the main menu, just like a simple thermostat.

AutoLighting

Automatic lighting, according to your presence, as necessary.
Minimum ambient light setting.

Individual dimmer setting for each lamp, depending on current mode. This allows you for example, to first have the ambient lighting on when you enter the room and then the main lamp when you stay longer.
When the sun shines back, or when you open the curtain, the room manager turns off the lamps if the day-light is enough to keep the room bright.

Day & Night

Twilight detection to turn on outdoor lighting at night fall until dawn.
Intelligent group-detection. If for example a room-manager misses the dusk or dawn detection (because of public-lighting or blocked by the shades), the other room-manager will inform it when the transition time comes.
Night time programming, you can define the twilight detection period.

Infrared Baby-feeder

A small card with two suction cups, that allows you to download new applications or upgrade completely the embedded software.

USB interface, allowing you to do the setup from your PC.
